  • “A Word from the Pastor”

Often times we build things in the natural world that has a short life span, which are temporal. In the spiritual world however we must seek the Father wisdom and understanding that we may be able to meet His expectation.

After years of seeking the Will of God for our lives in building this ministry I have not conferred with flesh and blood. My heart desire is to build what is the perfect will of God. In doing so we have lost a lots of people that has fail to receive true vision of this ministry’s directive. But we cannot compromise the standard which God has set up. We cannot just say “go along to get along.”

Testing and trying that which is available for use whether it would perfectly fit or be rejected. We have endured trails and temptations not many words of encouragements. We have stood on that which is eternal to accomplish what we know to be of God. Yes the foundation is there but we must build by the specification of the Master Builder, that sure foundation.

There has been many that would come by to interrupt the work of the ministry pointing out what they seek was wrong (as Job comforters). While knowing the truth I must stand my ground knowing also who is the Author and Finisher of my faith. Because of the calling upon my life it would be destructive for me to allow myself to be drawn away by those who come to offer their help their way to change true vision which God gave me so many years ago, (remember Nehemiah wall building experience).

When God gave me the “assignment”, I knew it would be tough to achieve, but as we have the faith which only God can give, then nothing is impossible. We are “making our calling an election sure.” To be obedience even unto death.

When one builds a building of the material that is available some must be rejected, because everything doesn’t go with anything. Our heart desire is to please the Father “working the works of God” for His glory and honor.

    Elder Jerry Lindsey, Pastor

Theme: Steadfastness, building on a sure foundation!

  • Fear and Faith

Finding the Peace Your Heart Craves

While fear cowers, faith stands. While fear frets, faith prays. While fear looks within, faith looks to Jesus. While fear despairs, faith hopes. Fear-an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat.

Fear is an emotion induced by perceived danger or threat, which causes physiological changes and ultimately behavioral changes, such as fleeing, hiding, or freezing from perceived traumatic events Faith - complete trust or confidence in someone or something trust, belief, an acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists. confidence, the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something: firm trust, reliance, dependence, hopefulness, Hope -to cherish a desire with anticipation: to want something to happen or be true.

Peace is a concept of societal friendship and harmony in the absence of hostility and violence, peace is commonly used to mean a lack of conflict and freedom from fear of violence between individuals or groups. Throughout history leaders have used peacemaking and diplomacy to establish a certain type of behavioral restraint that has resulted in the establishment of regional peace or economic growth through various forms of agreements or peace treaties.

Such behavioral restraint has often resulted in the reduction of conflicts, greater economic interactivity, and consequently substantial prosperity. Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" Hebrews 11: 1. Faith is the connecting power into the spiritual realm, which links us with God and makes Him become a tangible reality to the sense perceptions of a person.

Peace-freedom from disturbance not allowing thing around to change who you are, freedom from interference Philippians 4:4-9 (KJV) 4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again, I say, Rejoice. 5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. Let believers be of one mind, and ready to help each other. As the apostle had found the benefit of their assistance, he knew how comfortable it would be to his fellow-laborers to have the help of others.

Let us seek to give assurance that our names are written in the book of life. Joy in God is of great consequence in the Christian life; and Christians need to be again and again called to it. It more than outweighs all causes for sorrow. Let their enemies perceive how moderate they were as to outward things, and how composedly they suffered loss and hardships.

The day of judgment will soon arrive, with full redemption to believers, and destruction to ungodly men. There is a care of diligence which is our duty and agrees with a wise forecast and due concern; but there is a care of fear and distrust, which is sin and folly, and only perplexes and distracts the mind. As a remedy against perplexing care, constant prayer is recommended. Not only stated times for prayer, but in everything by prayer.

We must join thanksgivings with prayers and supplications; not only seek supplies of good but own the mercies we have received. God needs not to be told our wants or desires; he knows them better than we do; but he will have us show that we value the mercy and feel our dependence on him.

The peace of God, the comfortable sense of being reconciled to God, and having a part in his favor, and the hope of the heavenly blessedness, are a greater good than can be fully expressed. This peace will keep our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus; it will keep us from sinning under troubles, and from sinking under them; keep us calm and with inward satisfaction. Believers are to get and to keep a good name, a name for good things with God and good men. We should walk in all the ways of virtue, and abide therein; then, whether our praise is of men or not, it will be of God.

The apostle is for an example. His doctrine and life agreed together. The way to have the God of peace with us, is to keep close to our duty. All our privileges and salvation arise in the free mercy of God; yet the enjoyment of them depends on our sincere and holy conduct.

These are works of God, pertaining to God, and to him only are they to be ascribed, and to no other, neither men, words, nor deeds. 1 John 4:17-18 (KJV) 17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

  • "Misunderstanding"

A failure to understand something correctly. A misunderstanding of the facts and the law synonyms: misinterpretation, misconstruction, misreading, misapprehension, misconception As I look at various situations in the world which we all have to deal, it may be spiritual, natural, carnal, natural, culture, religious, political, traditional, personal, public view, opinion, thought, word on the street, denominational, family preference, educational background, training or the lack there of.

When we consider some or any of these things listed above it’s obvious that no matter what we have experienced in life there is someone who has experienced some difference so there will never going to be a 100% agreement on anything. With that in mind, if you live a life of knowing all you will never learn anything new in life. Only God knows all! We must learn from those around us every day of our lives.

If we fail to learn then we will spiritually die for the lack of relevant knowledge to grow by. We should seek to learn something new everyday to increase our knowledge capacity in some, any or all, of the category listed above.

A closed mouth can never be fed. Yet we are never to just receive every that we see or hear without question. We should test those things that others share to see if they meet the standard of truth. If you know no truth then you have nothing to judge with, so how can you write off something you hear when you don’t know the truth.

Those people who are the most argumentative are those who fail to learn anything new. Those who are so easy upset are those with a thin skin or shadow surface. Has no depth or ability comprehend anything new, they are settled in what they think they know. They have a made-up mind without knowledge, that’s an idiot! That’s shameful. A sealed jar without content is useless.

As a man of God, a pastor, a spiritual leader one who must deal with all people on all levels sometime in my lives, being flexible to meet all situations and circumstances to be relevant to all involved. Dealing with one person while others observe from their view are often misunderstood because of the lack of full knowledge what is being spoken at the time and unwilling to deliberate for clarity.

When we are preaching the gospel to many with various viewpoints and with no spiritual knowledge of what is actual being spoken. Their attention is not all there, they are using cell phone, going to bathroom, they are talking to one another, their mind is focusing upon something other than what is being spoken at the time.

Therefore, with so many things taking away their focus they are unable to determine what is actual truth. If you are a person who is always question others of what they think or what you think they think, then you certainly need to examine your own motive. Determine whether you are in or out of faith, do you know according to truth what you are thinking? What is your thinking based upon? What makes you the judge, jury and the executioner, who died and made you God? What authority do you have to tell the pastor of his spiritual authority or others in difference position that you know more than anyone else in this world. As previously mention we all experience difference things so therefore we have difference knowledge.

Don’t insult others intelligent based upon your lack knowledge of what their knowledge is. You may be a professional in some field or expert at something, nevertheless you don’t know it all! You know what you know but you don’t know what you don’t know. You can’t conclude that no-one else can know what you know. If we allow ourselves to observe other to harvest every good gift to build our own knowledge capacity to be the most effective in everything we do or say.

We are the better person who handle well those new things we view. We must seek knowledge, but in all our seeking we must gain understanding which bring wisdom. Knowledge without understanding makes us to become educated fools. When we not able to handle the truth, which was clearly made available to us, then it’s like learning about something without having any idea as to the specific purpose in which it was produced. Everything must have a known purpose otherwise it useless. My challenge to all is to rethink all your previous thoughts, to determine whether they were of wisdom or ignorant. Sometimes we may conclude something is true when it’s nowhere near the truth.

We make fools out of ourselves because we fail to judge whether we really know what we are doing without any doubt. Failing the preponderancy of the evident shown. In the scripture; (2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV) 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.) we must understand first who we are and who’s we are then humbly, to be subject to someone else or everyone else in some manner. Communicating with God for directions and stop those things which does not please God. Then our ears would be able to clearly hear, and our heart understand how to relate to those around us which differ from us in thoughts or opinion considering all things and the end results. We will be able harvest the blessing of the abundant of our God. It is of the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, but the sacrifice in our stead, for which we should be very thankful. And whoever beholds with true faith, the Savior agonizing and dying for man's sin, will, by that view, find his godly sorrow enlarged, his hatred of sin increased, his soul made more watchful, and his life more holy. Solomon prosperously affected all he designed, for adorning both God's house and his own.

Those who begin with the service of God, are likely to go on successfully in their own affairs. It was Solomon's praise, that what he undertook, he went through with; it was by the grace of God that he prospered in it. Let us then stand in awe, and sin not. Let us fear the Lord's displeasure, hope in his mercy, and walk in his commandments. My heart desire is to be able to understand the best way to relate to those around about me, no matter who they are where they may be or what position they may or may not hold. Everyone has something to offer that we may be able to learn from or learn about which causes us to grow successfully. We either learn not to do that or to do it a different way.

Those things will guide us by trial and error. The name and by the authority of the Lord Jesus, that having professed the gospel, we should not be as the unconverted Gentiles, who walked in vain fancies and carnal affections. Men, on every side, walk in the vanity of their minds? We must urge the distinction between real and nominal Christians? When we are void of all saving knowledge; we sat in darkness and loved it rather than light. We had a dislike and hatred to a life of holiness, which is not only the way of life God requires and approves, and by which we live to him, but which has some likeness to God himself in his purity, righteousness, truth, and goodness.

The truth of Christ appears in its beauty and power, when it appears as in Jesus. The corrupt nature is called a man; like the human body, it is of diver’s parts, supporting and strengthening one another. Sinful desires are deceitful lusts; they promise men happiness but render them more miserable; and bring them to destruction, if not subdued and mortified.

These therefore must be put off, as an old garment, a filthy garment; they must be subdued and mortified. But it is not enough to shake off corrupt principles; we must have gracious ones. By the new man, is meant the new nature, the new creature, directed by a new principle, even regenerating grace, enabling a man to lead a new life of righteousness and holiness. This is created or brought forth by God's almighty power. Pastor Jerry Lindsey The Pathway of Life Church, Inc. 11-20-2019

  • "The Calling of GOD"

    1. If God has called you to be really like Jesus in all your spirit, He will draw you into a life of crucifixion and humility. He will put on you such demands of obedience that He will not allow you to follow other Christians, and in many ways He will seem to let other good people do things which He will not let you do.

    2. Other Christians and ministers who seem very religious and useful may push themselves, pull wires and work schemes to carry out their plans, but you cannot do it. If you attempt it, you will meet with such failure and rebuke from the Lord as to make you sorely penitent.

    3. Others can brag about themselves, their work, their success, or their writings, but the Holy Spirit will not allow you to do any such thing. If you begin it, He will lead you into such deep mortification that will make you despise yourself and all your good works.

    4. Others will be allowed to succeed in making great sums of money or having a legacy left to them or in having luxuries. But God may supply you daily because He wants you to have something far better than gold and that is a helpless dependence on Him, that He may have the privilege of providing your needs day by day out of the unseen treasury.

    5. The Lord may let others be honored and put forward but keep you hidden away in obscurity because He wants to produce some choice, fragrant fruit for His coming glory, which can only be produced in the shade.

    6. God will let others be great, but keep you small. He will let others do a work for Him and get the credit for it, but He will make you work and toil on without knowing how much you are doing. Then to make your work still more precious, He will let others get the credit for the work which you have done, and this will make your reward ten times greater when Jesus comes.

    7. The Holy Spirit will put a strict watch on you, with a jealous love, and will rebuke you for little words and feelings or for wasting your time, which other Christians never seem distressed over.

    8. So make up your mind that God is an infinite Sovereign, and has a right to do as He pleases with His own. He will not explain to you a thousand things which may puzzle your reason in His dealings with you. God will take you at your word; and if you absolutely will yourself to be His slave, He will wrap you up in a jealous love and let other people say and do many things that you cannot do or say. Settle it forever, that you are to deal directly with the Holy Spirit. Also that He is to have the privilege of tying your tongue or chaining your hand or closing your eyes, in ways that others are not dealt with.

    9. Now when you are so possessed with the loving God that you are, in your secret heart, pleased and delighted over this peculiar personal, private, jealous guardianship and management of the Holy Spirit over your life, you will have found the vestibule of heaven.
